A customer wants to buy a product but the whole stock of that product is empty.  So whenever that product comes in stock then such customers will be notified by this automation.

Once you enable this automation, Back in Stock opt-in appears in storefront in all sold out products. 

This Back in Stock widget is fully customizable and it helps to take permission from visitors to send notification when that product comes back in stock.
